Traktor Pro 2.5 with Remix Decks is set for a May 30, 2012 release, coinciding with the arrival of its partner DJ controller Traktor Kontrol F1.

Traktor Pro 2 or Duo 2 owners will receive the 2.5 update for free, and owners of older versions will have a special limited price offer.

Remix Decks is the main new feature of the update. It lets you select from up to 64 loops and one-shot samples per deck. Any of the four decks within Traktor Pro 2.5 is readily switchable into a Remix Deck.

Each Remix Deck offers four different slots which are designed for arranging sounds and loops per instrument groups - giving you four samples at any one time. You can use the loops from the content included or you can import loops and sounds of your own. You can also create your own loops with its Live-capturing feature.

The Traktor Remix update is designed to be fully compatible with the multi-colored Traktor Kontrol F1. It integrates seamlessly and can utilize the maximum potential of the Traktor Pro software in live performance situations.

Another important update to this popular DJ software is its improved tempo detection. It automatically detects the tempo of all your imported files, and can even detect the average tempo of a "live" drummer that uses varying tempos.

New features of Traktor 2.5:

• New Loop Recorder, for recording live loops from any channel

• Four fully assignable effects units (instead of two fixed ones),

• Two effects modes - Group and Single, with 26 additional effects

• New assignable crossfader and the addition of classic filter types

• Now possible to customize and store software layouts and deck details

• Sync with MASCHINE and other performance tools

• Addition of internet broadcasting

The coming Remix version of Traktor also introduced new price points for the Traktor Pro 2 software - it is now available for only $89 from the previous $229! Traktor Kontrol S2 now costs $559.
