Korg USA have just announced that they are giving a $500.00 mail-in rebate on both the 73-key and 88-key models of their SV-1 (Stage Vintage) Piano.

The mail-in rebate offer is valid until January 15, 2012 for all US residents who buy from an authorized Korg dealer in the USA.

The Korg SV-1 comes in both 73 or 88 piano-style key versions using Korg's RH3 Graded Hammer Action. The SV-1 also features the sound of a Japanese grand piano in addition to the traditional grand piano of German manufacture.

In addition to Piano sounds, it comes with electric pianos sounds; transistor, tube, and tonewheel organ sounds; plus a variety of equally authentic vintage keyboard sounds. In total, the SV-1 contains 36 sounds, with additional Sound Packs available for download at www.korg.com/sv1.

The SV-1 also has onboard effects including an amplifier modeling section which uses an actual vacuum tube to recreate both the amps and cabinets that were used with the original instruments.

The 88 key version usually sells for around $2,199 and the 73 key version for $1,999 before receiving the rebate.
