The new version of Blackbox Recorder - BBR64-MADI - from JoeCo can now record up to 64 channels of MADI data, while still maintaining one rack space. It is designed for recording audio and capturing multi channel live performances directly to a USB 2.0 Drive, in WAV format, without using a computer.

The BBR64-MADI recorder can record, replay up to a full 64 channels at standard sample rates. Double sample rate recording is also possible up to 96Khz. It can use both optical MADI and coaxial connections when connecting to other MADI devices. Also, it has a 56 channel legacy MADI which can record a 8 channels more of analogue (line in - balanced) for recording ambience and audience reaction. Channels is monitored on a PFL bus allowing for both hi-resolution headphone monitoring and metering.
