Huge Claim: Your Music is Valuable so Give it Away for Free

Self described music business coach, Dr Huge, has published a free e-book is called How the record industry got it so wrong (and how their mistakes point to your glorious musical future)

Dr Huge says he's completed 4 years of research into the underlying causes of the decline in CD sales, and that this e-book is the result of that research.

And the striking conclusion he comes to is that the problem was not caused by piracy, instead he says, "The bottom line is that the recording industry was not selling music, there has never been a way to sell music

"They were, and still are, using music to sell technology.

"Fortunately, once you come to terms with that, it's not hard to figure out how to capture what's really valuable about music."

Dr Huge argues that independent musicians will feel liberated and encouraged once they get their head around exactly what this means.

"It takes all the pain out of the music business and allows musicians to concentrate on making the best of their music.

"And, to prove the point, I'm giving the first parts of the book away and posting the whole thing to my blog so anyone can read it. Practice what I preach."
